Indiana is No Longer a Basketball School
Google him, he wins. That famous line was uttered by Indiana’s head football coach this summer and fast forward to late October he has the Hoosiers sitting at 7-0 with a dominating 56-7 win against Nebraska. The Hoosiers where firing on all cylinders as they got out to an early lead and never looked back. With a balanced attack that featured 280 passing yards and 215 rushing yards, the offense found a grove early and cruised throughout the game. On the defensive side of the ball Raiola looked like Patrick Mahomes if he was ordered from TEMU as he threw three interceptions and no TD passes. Indiana looks to keep the momentum going as Washington comes to town next week and one thing is for sure, Nebraska isn’t back.
Miami Can’t Keep Getting Away with This
Miami found themselves in similar territory as they went back and forth against a talented Louisville squad. In a game that featured 97 combined points and several defense coordinators changing the channel in disgust. It looked like the momentum was shifting over to the cardinals as they took a scope and score to the house only for it to be reviewed and called a forward pass. Cam Ward and the Hurricanes were able to hold off the Cardinals from there with a pair of clutches fourth quarter touchdowns. Is this the year Miami is officially back or will they finally flirt to close to danger and get caught?
Can’t Cheat, Can’t Win: Michigan Loses Again
Michigan flat out stinks (on offense) and couldn’t even crack single digits today in their lose to the fighting Illini and looked horrific on offense. Illinois held the Michigan rush attack in check and forced three Michigan turnovers en route to their first win of maize and blue since 2009. Illinois dream season continues as they should climb up the rankings as they improve to 6-1 and look for Michigan to finally fall out of the top 25. Michigan will need to hit the portal hard this offseason as using their third quarter back of the year was not the fix their offense needed and Illinois has a tough test next week facing off against Oregon.
Horns Down, Georgia Dominates
The highlight of the game was the Texas student section forcing the refs to overturn a call by throwing bottles on the field, turns out college protest do work. Outside of that this was a game dominated by the bulldog defense as they bullied the Texas o-line and seemed to live in the backfield. Texas couldn’t get anything going on offense as they also averaged one, I repeat ONE, yard per carry. Carson Beck was able to overcome two interceptions and get the win over the Longhorns. Welcome to the SEC Texas, it only gets harder from here.
Saban Can’t Save You: Vols win
In a game highlighted by miscues and overthrows neither team looked dominate but Alabama just made to many mistakes to win and when it matters Nico was able to deliver for the Vols on a beautiful game winning touchdown pass. Tennessee did not look great and there are still plenty of question marks regarding this offense, but a win is a win. On the other side of the ball is Alabama eliminated? DeBoer may have already lost the trust and confidence of the Alabama fan base as things are not looking good in Tuscaloosa. We may be living in a world where Texas A&M is playing for the SEC title, God help us all.
RESPECT THE FCS: North Dakota State with the Win
In the battle for the Dakota’s dominated by defense North Dakota was able to hold Chase Mason to under a hundred yards rushing and stymie the Jackrabbit offense for a majority of the game. Cam Miller for the Bison was efficient from the pocket completing 20/27 passes for 163 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. This game was a good ole fashion rock fight and the Bison where able to reclaim the Dakota Marker.
