What a wild weekend around the NFL! We saw trouble in Cleveland, Mahomes continues to struggle even with the Chiefs being undefeated, the NFC North continues to dominate, and more. Let’s look at the highlights from around the league as teams are starting to round into shape while others are already shifting to the draft.

Make Goff the MVP Cowards: Lions 31 – Vikings 29

The NFC North continues to dominate as they have a combined record of 19-6 with the worst record being the Bears at 4-2. The Vikings played the Lions in a battle for the top of the division in a game that featured a man who was selling bricks (literally bricks he wasn’t in Miami) hit a game winning field goal. Goeff has continued to make an excellent case for MVP consideration and Jefferson put up another amazing game in a loss. The Lions, yes the Detroit Lions, are a real contender for the Superbowl.

Lovin’ Love in Green Bay: Packers 24 – Texans 22

Staying in the division the Green Bay packers put on a defensive clinic holding Stroud to less than 100 yards passing and Diggs to 23 total yards. Turnovers and penalties continue to plague this team on the offensive side of the ball, but Jordan Love is looking healthy and has the Packers rolling as they play Jacksonville next week.

Jimmy Bets best bet of Packers -3 – X LOSS X

Seahawks are the better Bird: Seahawks 34 – Falcons 14

Headed down south the Seahawks walked into the Falcons Trap and took over their trap. In a game that Cousins would like to forget the Seahawks played like a team with their backs against the wall and got a much-needed win. With the division struggling across the board the Seahawks still have the inside track to win it as the continue to get healthy on defense.

Jimmy Bets best bet of Atlanta Team Total over 29.5 – X LOSS X

Not a Giant Surprise: Eagles 28 – Giants 3

The final NFC game we will highlight is the return of Saquan. In a game that saw an appearance Young Lock (that’s a really good Young Joc joke) the Eagles dominated across the board as Saquan scored the most predictable touchdown of the day. I think Daboll is a good coach but it may be time for him to leave NY. Side note the Rams and Raiders played football today.

Jimmy Bets best bet of Malik Nabers anytime TD – X LOSS X

The London Experience: Jaguars 32 – Patriots 16

ree

Is Trevor Lawrence actually a good quarterback or are the patriots just that bad? In a season where both teams have struggled to do much of anything, the Patriots seemed to stick to the status quo and not block for their rookie QB, Drake Maye, while the Jaguars seemed to remember how to play football this week in all areas of the game. Jags took the 1st quarter to wake up, but once the lights were on they never turned them off scoring 25 unanswered points from a TD pass to the rookie star Brian Thomas Jr, a 96 yard punt return, and a rushing score by Tank Bigsby. Some may be asking, is Etienne’s clock ticking as the starting running back in Jacksonville as Bigsby continues to impress as a physical “body craves contact” type of back, finishing the game with 118 yards and 2 TDs. Jaguars will look to try and keep the lights on as they come back home to play the playoff contending 5-2 Green Bay Packers Sunday.

Jimmy Bets best bet of total points over 42.5- $ CASHED $

QB Vacancy in Tennessee: Titans 10 – Bills 34

No surprises here at the Bills handled business against an abysmal Titans offense. Bills started sluggish and allowed Mason Rudolph to get 10 points on the board to start the game. Josh Allen and company decided enough was enough and ran away with it, to include a TD by Bills newest addition Amari Cooper on a play where he seemed to create the route on the fly due to not knowing the playbook. Bills look to continue being a strong SB contender as they travel to Seattle this coming Sunday. As for the Titans, will we see the meme master Will Levis back to taking snaps this coming Sunday at Detroit? Titans have a serious problem at QB to figure out if they do not want to start tanking for next season.

Jimmy Bets best bet of Bills -9.5 - $ CASHED $

Burrow escapes the Browns in much needed victory: Bengals 21 – Browns 14

In a game where we saw a gruesome injury occur ending Deshaun Watsons season to a player, Nick Chubb, return from a previous season gruesome injury to score a touchdown, the score does not reflect how important this game was for both teams. Joe Burrow and the Bengals have started this season as they always do, slow, so in a Week 7 game after starting 2-4, they needed this win to start their uphill climb if they want to make the playoffs. On the flip side, the Browns lose again slipping to 1-6 on the season, as well as losing their starting QB Deshaun Watson to a ruptured Achilles tendon. Many may say this is best thing to happen to the Browns on the field, but it is terrible for the Browns wallet as now they must payout the egregious contract they have with the washed Watson. Famous Jameis seems to have secured his spot as starter again and I know I am not speaking alone here when I say he might be the most electric QB in the league. Browns fans now have the variance of Jameis throwing for 400 and 4TDs along with 5ints every game, and we get to finally hear the pure wisdom and electricity in Winston’s post game interviews and pre game speeches to his teammates.

Jimmy Bets best bet of Burrow 3+ passing TDs – X LOSS X

Superbowl Rematch with the same result: Chiefs 28 – 49ers 18

Here we go again, the Chiefs continue with their wizardry and jump to 6-0 with the win over San Francisco. Bigger story here is neither Purdy or the somehow MVP favorite Mahomes look like themselves this season. While Purdy and the 49ers have dealt with the injury bug so far making it difficult to continue the dominance they have had in the past, Purdy threw 3 ints against the Chiefs which essentially was the game. Mahomes on the other hand has not been anywhere close to himself this season with a td/int ratio of 6/8 and a 61.0 QBR on the year. Somehow with name alone he is still the betting odds favorite to win the MVP. Lucky for him, his teammates have picked up the slack and kept the Chiefs undefeated season alive. We will see if Chiefs can keep this run going without the normal magic of Mahomes.

Jimmy Bets best bet of Kittle anytime TD – X LOSS X

LET RUSS COOK, Steelers embarrass the Jets on SNF: Jets 15 – Steelers 37

ree

Many fans including myself were questioning Mike Tomlin’s decision to sit Justin Fields after a 4-2 start and let Russell Wilson take charge of the team this weekend. Joke was on us as we should’ve trusted one of the league’s most tenured active head coaches who has 16 straight seasons of .500 or above and his evaluation of QB play. Russel Wilson balled out in his return with 2 passing touchdowns and one on the ground as the Steelers steamroll the Jets on Sunday Night Football. Rodgers and his old pal Devante Adams seem to not even be able to save this Jets organization as they fall to 2-5 on the season, we will see if they can bounce back against a struggling Patriots team this coming Sunday.

Jimmy Bets Best bet of Adams anytime TD – X LOSS X
